Silt Pumping and Dredging
The build-up of silt within a lake, pond or river can have serious consequences on the future of that water and any life there is, for example fish and other organisms.
We have two types of silt pump that can be used for different types of silt materials and density's. With the use of our excavator arm we can loosen any harder material on the water bed and then follow up with a silt pump to remove the loosened material from the water.
Aquatic Weed Control
Aquatic plants are an important part of the ecosystem in rivers, waterways and lakes. They provide food and a safe habitat for animals as well as helping to reduce the erosion of riverbanks and absorb pollution. Some plants may have been deliberately introduced for ornamental reasons; other plants just seem to appear.
Aquatic plants only become aquatic weeds when they grow excessively and spoil the appearance and quality of the watercourse. We can control them through the use of a mechanical cutter on the Truxor and then collect the loose material with the rake attachment.
Algae Control
To reduce algae in UK waters we would recommend installing barley straw rafts as a natural environmentally friendly method of control. Algae is unsightly and can cause problems for fisherman, cause taint and odour problems in the water, can block water pumps and can be a health hazard to humans, livestock and wildlife.
